Danskina was established in 1973 by Piet van Eijken and is wife Ina in the small town of Bladel in the southern part of the Netherlands. Originally formed to focus on Danish design, Piet named the company using a combination of the Danish word 'dansk' and the name of his wife Ina. In 1989, Danskina moved to Amsterdam where the company still has its headquarters and showroom. Since 1999, the company has concentrated on designing, producing and selling high-quality rugs.
