Anders Brix (1963) graduated as an architect from the School of Architecture in Copenhagen in 1990. Already in 1988 he was employed by Knud Holscher Industrial Design. From 1995-1998 Anders Brix was associate partner of Knud Holscher Industriel Design. In 1998 Anders Brix opened his own studio and was also appointed professor at the School of Architecture in Copenhagen; The Department of Design and Communication. As an architect Anders Brix is dealing with all proportions. Emphasis is on innovative and aesthetically demanding tasks within industrial design, furniture design, and urban and landscape equipment. Another area that has Anders Brix great interest is the use of modern industrial techniques and materials for the development of design and architecture. Thus, Anders Brix regularly collaborates with a number of industrial companies. Anders Brix has designed the Paustian Stack bookcase. A bookcase with great flexibility, variety and sculptural effect. Other projects include a 23 km long sound barrier that extends from Jægersborg to Vestvolden, Zealand. This was done in collaboration with CBA, Cowi, and the Danish Road Directorate. The furnishing of the Academy's cafeteria has also been through Anders hands.
