Despite their young age, the two French design brothers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec (1971 and 1976) have already left a permanent mark on the established design world. The brothers only started collaborating in 1997. In 2000, they met Rolf Fehlbaum from Vitra, which resulted in both friendship and an exciting design collaboration. Bouroullec's first product for Vitra was the famous office system titled Joyn, which was launched in 2002. Since then, they have had many other successes. Today, the Bouroullec brothers work together with many different furniture and textile manufacturers. They also find time to engage in architectural projects. Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec have received numerous design awards through the years, and their furniture forms part of the permanent collections at e.g. MoMa and Centre Georges Pompidou.
