Ross Lovegrove


Ross Lovegrove (1958-) was born in Wales, and completed a BA with distinction in Industrial Design at Manchester Polytechnic Industrial Design in 1980. He then went on to take a Master’s in Design at the Royal College of Art in London, graduating in 1983. He set up his own design company, Studio X, in London in 1990.

Working with Louis Poulsen, Ross Lovegrove developed Transair, which is no longer part of the standard range, and the Aeros pendant. In 2009, Aeros was awarded the prestigious 'Red Dot Design Award' and is today exhibited at the Red Dot Design Museum in Germany.

Ross Lovegrove has won numerous awards, including the World Technology Award from Time Magazine and CNN in 2005 and has since received a number of 'Red Dot Design Award' for his unique products.
