Werner Aisslinger


Born in Berlin 1964, Werner Aisslinger is a German furniture designer.

From 1987 to 1991, he studied design at University of Arts in Berlin. During the period 1989-1992, he worked freelance for Ron Arad and Jasper Morrison at Studio de Lucchi in Milan. In 1993, Aisslinger founded his own office 'Studio Aisslinger', focusing on product design, design concepts and brand architecture. Later he was a teacher at HdK and Lahti Institute of Design in Helsinki. Moreover, he taught as a professor at Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design.

During his career, Aisslinger has received various awards, including Design Plus Award, Germany, Compasso d’Oro Selection, Italy, Bundespreis Produktdesign, Germany, Blueprint 100% Design Award, London, Red Dot Award, Germany, Selection Centre Georges Pompidou.
